Priority Care

AVADO keeps an eye on your box, tells you when something needs your attention and helps you first when something goes wrong.

What it is

Priority Care is a subscription for one AVADO, linked to it by its node ID. It costs €12 a month or €120 a year, you subscribe from the Admin UI on your box, and you can cancel any time.

Try it free for 14 days. If your box has never had a subscription, you’re only charged when the trial ends. Cancel before then and you pay nothing.

Priority Care used to be called Priority Support. Existing subscriptions keep every benefit they had, get the new alerts and reports, and carry on at the same price.

Monthly

€12 / month

Billed every month after the free trial. Cancel before the next renewal.

Yearly

€120 / year

Billed every year after the free trial. Save €24 compared with paying monthly.

Prices are final. No VAT is added, because the seller is not VAT registered. The free trial is for first-time subscribers, once per box.

What’s included

  • Priority email support

Your emails to support@ava.do go to the front of the queue, with a reply within 24 hours on business days.

  • Private support channel

Access to a private channel where you talk directly with the AVADO team.

  • Personal 1-on-1 sessions

Go through your setup together with someone from the team.

  • Offline alerts

An email when your AVADO has been offline for an hour, and another when it’s back online.

  • Alerts about serious problems

Your AVADO checks itself every 10 minutes and emails you about critical problems: a stopped app, a full disk, a missing fee recipient, an update that can’t install or a consensus client that has fallen behind. You get one email per problem, bundled together, and you can switch off each type.

  • Known bad version warnings

A warning when a version of an app you run has a known problem, or a network upgrade deadline is close.

  • Monthly health report

A short summary of how your AVADO did, in plain language, on the 1st of every month.

  • Fast help when your box is down

A reply within 8 business hours when your AVADO is down.

  • Check-ups and a guided move

Two check-ups a year, and one guided move to new hardware a year.

  • 10% off hardware

10% off AVADO hardware while your subscription is active.

The email alerts need the free AVADO Care app on your box. You install it from the Priority page with one click.

Priority Care needs the latest AVADO system update and Admin, which arrive on your AVADO automatically. If the Priority page says “Your AVADO needs a system update”, open System in your Admin and install the available update (or wait for it to install automatically), then try again.

Free for everyone, with or without a subscription: the health checks and fix buttons in the Admin UI, security and network upgrade updates, and basic support.

Priority Care is provided on a best-effort basis. It helps you notice and fix problems sooner, but it doesn’t guarantee staking rewards, that your node stays online or that every problem is caught. See the subscription terms.

How to start

  1. 1 Open the Admin UI on your AVADO and go to Priority.
  2. 2 Choose monthly or yearly and start your free trial (or subscribe, if this box has had a subscription before).
  3. 3 Enter your payment details at Stripe. The subscription is linked to this AVADO’s node ID.
  4. 4 Back on the Priority page, select Turn on alerts, then Install. The free AVADO Care app comes from the AVADO store and installs with one click.
  5. 5 Go back to Priority, enter your email address and click the link in the confirmation email. Alerts start once it’s confirmed.

Card details are entered at Stripe and never reach AVADO.

What the AVADO Care app sends

Every 10 minutes it sends a short check-in: your box’s node ID, the names and versions of your installed apps, how full the disk is, the overall health result and short titles of any problems found.

It never sends your wallet, keys, IP addresses, peers or validator data. To stop it, remove the AVADO Care app or cancel your subscription. Details are in the privacy policy.

Manage or cancel

Open Priority in the Admin UI and select Manage billing. This opens the Stripe customer portal, where you can update your payment method or cancel.

Cancel during the free trial and you’re never charged. After that, cancelling stops the next renewal and Priority Care continues until the end of the period you’ve paid for.

Questions and answers

What is Priority Care?

A subscription for one AVADO. You get priority email support, a private support channel and 1-on-1 sessions with the AVADO team, and AVADO keeps an eye on your box and emails you when something needs your attention. It used to be called Priority Support; existing subscriptions carry on as Priority Care at the same price, with the new alerts added.

How does the free trial work?

If this AVADO has never had a subscription, the first 14 days are free. You pick monthly or yearly when you start. You are only charged when the trial ends, and if you cancel before then, you pay nothing. Each box can have one free trial.

How do I turn on the alerts?

On the Priority page in the Admin UI, select Turn on alerts. This opens the free AVADO Care app in the AVADO store; select Install and it is installed with one click. Go back to Priority, enter your email address under “Where should we send alerts?” and click the link in the confirmation email we send you. Alerts start once your email is confirmed.

What does my AVADO need for Priority Care?

Priority Care needs the latest AVADO system update (DAPPMANAGER 10.0.48) and Admin 10.0.57. Both arrive on your AVADO automatically. If the Priority page says “Your AVADO needs a system update”, open System in your Admin and install the available update (or wait for it to install automatically), then try again.

What does the AVADO Care app send to AVADO?

Every 10 minutes it sends a short check-in: your box’s node ID, the names and versions of the installed apps, how full the disk is, the overall health result and short titles of any problems found. It never sends your wallet, keys, IP addresses, peers or validator data. See the privacy policy for how long we keep it.

Can I choose which alerts I get?

Yes. On the Priority page you can switch off each type: offline and back-online alerts, serious problems, update warnings about known bad versions, and the monthly report. To stop monitoring completely, remove the AVADO Care app or cancel your subscription.

Does one subscription cover several boxes?

No. Each subscription is linked to one AVADO by its node ID. If you have more than one box, subscribe on each box you want covered.

Can I subscribe on the website?

No. You subscribe from the Admin UI on the AVADO you want covered, so the subscription is linked to the right box.

How do I cancel?

Open Priority in the Admin UI and select Manage billing. This opens the Stripe customer portal, where you can cancel. During the free trial, cancelling means you are never charged. After that, cancelling stops the next renewal and Priority Care continues until the end of the period you’ve paid for.

Do I get a refund when I cancel?

There are no refunds for the rest of a period you’ve started, except where the law requires one. Consumers can withdraw within 14 days of subscribing; see the terms.

Is VAT added to the price?

No. The seller is not VAT registered, so €12 a month or €120 a year is what you pay.

Is anything free without a subscription?

Yes. The health checks and fix buttons in the Admin UI, security and network upgrade updates, the documentation, the Discord community and email support at support@ava.do stay free for every AVADO owner.

Does Priority Care guarantee rewards or uptime?

No. It helps you notice and fix problems sooner, on a best-effort basis. It doesn’t guarantee staking rewards, that your node stays online or that every problem is caught.
